The Haven Community Hub
The Haven Community Hub is a community space open to all, with a large ground floor cafe, a charity shop and other goods for sale. Around 30 affordable activities and classes run each week to keep the mind and body active- some with costs attached. From falls prevention classes, table tennis and keep fit classes to a whist group, book club, knit and knatter and free coffee and conversation sessions. The space also houses a Dementia Day Centre for people living with dementia and other neuroligal conditions.

The Haven Community Hub is run by Age Concern Southend who's mission is to help the older people of Southend on Sea and surrounding area to live happier, healthier and more independent lives. Age Concern also run a free befriending service, offer advice and support, wheelchair hire and hearing aid replacement batteries.

Who can use this service?
The Haven Community Hub is open to all. Our cafe which offers affordable meals, drinks and snacks ,is situated on the ground floor and is fully accessible. Ideal for large groups as well as families, kids meals, highchairs and toys available.
How are services delivered?
Services are delivered face to face. The classes are run by qualified instructors. Our reception area offers support and advice and can signpost to other organisations. There is a cost for some of these services
