Chaos and Calm

Chaos & Calm supports families of young children with disabilities and neurological differences in Southend and the surronding areas. They offer sensory play and storytime sessions for children aged up to 5 years, providing opportunities for play, support, learning and connection for both children and their families. All of our sessions are FREE and a piece of homemade cake is always avaliable!

Tuesdays 12.30 - 14.00 at Kingsdown School, Snakes Lane SS2 6XT

Sensory play for children who are not yet mobile who have complex needs. This is a relaxed stay and play session which features opportunities for messy play, music and access to specialist toys and resources. 

Thursdays 10.00 - 11.00 Children on the go 11.15-12.15 Limited mobility at Rayleigh Baptist Church, High Street Rayleigh

Each week features lots of sensory experiences related to a story. Nobody is expected to sit still and listen and we encourage active exploration of the resources. We also incorporate Makaton and other communication methods. There is also time for play and singing in each session 

 

Fridays 12.15-13.15 Limited mobility 13.30-14.30 Children on the go at Blenehim Children's Centre, School Way, Leigh on Sea 

This is a free play session featureing a monthly theme, messy play, arts and crafts and music. 

Who can use this service?

Families in Southend and surronding areas with children who have disabilities, complex needs or neurological differences. Sessions are aimed at children aged up to 5 years.

How are services delivered?

 Services are delivered by two professionals with years of hands on experience

Chaos & Calm Twinkles play Sessions – every Tuesday 1pm to 2.30pm. This session is open to families of children with disabilities and neurological difference up to 2 years old
