Lambourne End Centre - Common Ground
Lambourne End Centre - Common Ground encourages supported volunteers to pursue their interests and fulfill their potential. It is a programme for adults with additional needs aged between 19-25 and 25+. and aims to develop confidence, resilience and employability. Groups will work on a range of tasks on-site including conservation work, maintenance and repair, landscape construction and building, gardening and livestock farming. There is a charge for this service.

We aim to develop an interest in the environment and the natural world while also contributing to the upkeep and landscape of our Centre. Our overall aim is to help participants work with similarly minded and aged people, support working and talking as a team and develop mental and physical well-being. It is designed to give members skills around conservation (e.g. hedge laying, tree planting, animal houses), working to improve the environmental impact of the centre (building food compost bins), site maintenance (repairing fences) and getting them using tools and having responsibilities involving the upkeep and improvement of the centre.

Who can use this service?
Young adults with additional needs (aged between 19-25 and 25+) with an interest in working outdoors. All abilities welcome.
How are services delivered?
Face to face in small groups at our Centre.
Our learning programmes have a daily cost which is paid depending on the programme so it might be local authority, individuals or schools.
