STARS: Southend Treatment and Recovery Service

We help people who have issues with drugs and/or alcohol and want to make a positive change. We also support the family and friends. We provide friendly, non-judgemental support, no matter what substance you use or what you have gone through in the past. Services include: One-to-one and group support; Health checks, Help to detox, Prescribed medication (where appropriate and following a medical assessment); Naloxone dispensing and needle exchange; Support from peers who have been through similar experiences; Ongoing recovery support.

Who can use this service?

You are aged 18+ and Live in Southend-on-Sea and have issues with drugs and/or alcohol or are impacted by the drug/alcohol use of a loved one (even if that loved one is not ready to get support themselves).

How are services delivered?

Face to face, phone and email.
