Further info
Throughout the programme, the group will attend workshops aimed at exploring the areas of their lives which create barriers to success - mood and anger management, understanding feelings, developing and setting future goals, healthy relationships and such. We tailor the workshops to meet the needs of the group. Participants also attend a two day accredited employability course.
Each young person is paired with a volunteer mentor who they meet at least once a week, who is also available by phone or email between weekly sessions. Mentors provide the young people with a stable, mature and reliable presence, and act as a positive role model. There will also be opportunities for the young people to volunteer throughout the project. This can be arranged to be as frequent as the young person would like.
More information and our referral form can be found on our website: Wilderness Foundation TurnAround Essex.
